The bowl has suction on the bottom so it sticks to your highchair table and prevents the bowl being moved around and thrown around. The bowl is perfect to be thrown into the dishwasher after. You can also microwave your food in the bowl.
The spoon must not be put in the dishwasher or microwave as the handle is bamboo.
